Nurliati explained that the seaweed harvested is the Eucheuma Cottonii type which is planted using an off-bottom system using ropes at a depth of one to two meters. The seaweed seeds are tied to a rope between 12 -20 meters long and ready to be harvested in 45 days.

"We will continue to monitor and provide guidance to seaweed farmers so that they continue to produce as much as possible. So, they can increase their skills and income gradually," she added.

Meanwhile, one of the farmers, resident of RT 02/02, Lancang Island Urban Village, Hasanudin, thanked the sub-agency for giving guidance.

"I cultivate seaweed since 2022. Thanks God the result is great," he stated.
